"Atsushi Kitagawara: Constellations of Time and Space" is the first solo exhibition at the Nakamura Keith Haring Museum designed by Atsushi Kitagawara (1951- ). Kitagawara first expressed the fictional nature of the city in architecture with the Rise movie theater in Shibuya (1986), and has since continued to produce original architecture that has attracted much attention.

This exhibition explores Kitagawara's methodology and process of creation by comparing his creative sources to “stars” and his architecture to "constellations. The exhibition introduces the architectural process through models and documents based on the six elements that make up the Nakamura Keith Haring Museum: “Sakashima's Cone,” “Darkness,” “Giant Frame,” “Nature,” “Hope,” and "Colliding Walls". In addition, the adjacent Hotel Key Forest Hokuto will offer hands-on exhibits through the five senses, and JR Kobuchizawa Station will introduce the project and the region's attractions at the foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains. Through this exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to walk through the Nakamura Keith Haring Museum and other Kitagawara architectures to experience a closer look at Kitagawara's "universe.
